He is lying on top of me.

His lips crash against mine,

Taking what’s left of my breath.

 

I don’t want to inhale

Because if I do,

I’ll take him in, too.

 

But I don’t want him.


He lifts my shirt

And touches my stomach.

He hands are gentle.

He moves with affection.

 

But he’s still hurting me.

 

His hand is holding my wrist,

Keeping me in place,

Restricting my movement,

And caging me in.

 

I feel heavy,

But I also feel light.

I feel invisible,

But I also feel naked.

 

I cannot breathe,

But nor do I want to.
