Merci, sweet heart,

for the reach of your vast shadow.

It was proof you're someone tangible;

honest, and unconcealed.

-o-

You found me just in time, who knew?

Like the golden rays of mornings' glow,

When their threads of light are swarming, softly,

something unto a dream...

-o-

Well i knew that i had found;

when you hushed my lips and risked me,

Took account of all my worst things,

i had no need to hide.

-o-

And a spell of denser gravity

would force its weight upon me

Every time that you'd come knocking,

and i grew stronger with every tide.

-o-

So when she barged the gates in anger,

to set asunder our forthcoming,

Like the flames of hell were spawning,

to encroach our every eve..

-o-

The time had come for cleansing,

of her wicked heart and lashings...

No longer will i tolerate,

one in whom i can't confide.

-o-

And even though it lingers,

time will settle and will rebirth;

Or so i hope, for since you've been gone

i've an emptiness inside.

-o-

I fill the time as best one can do,

and still i'd rather fill it with you.

We were just friends, but what can't friends do?

(god?) grant us justice in our time...
