This is a spoken word poem. It is about life and cutting. Read... Comment.... Vote... Fan me...

The world is so cruel Never following the golden rule; Treat others the way you want to be treated But now I just feel so defeated.

Life is a cut.

I look at my wrists And watch the ribbons mix With my salt water tears And flow Even though I don't know If I'm loved or hated And which holds the power to grow.

The cuts bleed all emotions.

They say love is like a rose But nobody knows That like Stephen King's Dream Catcher byrus Hot and bright is how hate grows.

Life's cuts help the pain.

Alessa Norton pointed out that our scars Remind us of the past we worked so hard To hide Told us to look up from our wrists Look up to the skies Ad tell God That it's time to take us in.

Life's cuts cleanse us; free us.

Actions may speak louder than words But words still fly like birds Flitting around inside my head Making me wish that I was dead.

Life is reality to only a few.

Let's take a second to think. Who do we honestly care about? Do we give a thought to the man next door? Or the old woman on the third floor? What about that girl? The one always in her own little world?

Life is a cut that pains only the living.

Did you know she's hurt? Now I couldn't tell you Why she felt that way She felt it everyday No one's behind her To help her keep From making the same mistakes again.

Life is a cut that only Death heals.
