Tonight I take my leave, do not find it hard to believe I free myself from your chains, your unclaimed claims And all that that had been clutching you to my heart So it seems your happiness too is in staying apart If I could not ease your rigidity Then I am not right for thee If thy love could not win against his conceit Then I am not right for thee I let go of that person, who only I had seen Who only I had known, in whose return to me… I believed He is not a façade, he is not imaginary He is locked in space, he is not in your reach From tonight you sleep alone, You no longer live with me Oh you fool, you longed for love… oh the way you longed for me In your foolishness I believed, my love your blindness could not see Today is your day... I again grant you your wish In this loss, lies your only victory... Love still flows in me… tonight peacefully it will sleep In someone else it will believe While you spent your life in chains, I was a serendipity and so I remain... Unguarded I choose to live.... practicing no caution or restrain...
