This was a class exercise where everyone added one line. I edited it and I think it turned out good.

We met on a grey afternoon in March

Rain baptized us from the past

We became new for our future together

It looked bright, wonderful

Like the sunbathed meadow near the farmhouse

We find hope in the promise of the future

We lie there watching the rain fall

As if we are a part of this place

Spreading our arms, closing our eyes

Embracing the present

Just let yourself

Go

What happened?

We met there

And now it’s December

And snow freezes me into the past

Inescapable memories lock me there

On a grey afternoon in March
