Happiness is a word that is thrown around a lot these days, but why?

Hapiness, eveyone is obsessed with it. Their own happiness, the happiness of those around them...but why? Happiness has become a falsehood, a shell of what it used to mean. People are out for their own happiness, but they only seek a shallow gratification. People are the product of their own misery and know only how to suffer. Happiness is a false security we envelope ourselves in to keep from going mad. Any and all happiness is only temporary and will falter and break at the slightest bit of pressure. We are suffering, we are pain, we are nothing.
