This is a poem for Alezae's contest on picture #6...

I always take chances, but they just lead to the breaking of hearts. My tears stain the soft satin, the only thing I touch from the darkest depths of my despair. Their words tear through the very essance of my soul, leaving unrepairable wounds. Their words are silver daggers, and I just a pawn for their love games. They play me, and trade me, to get to their ultimate goal. With every move, I lose more of myself. But that's their goal, for chips of me to fall, chunks of my love. How can I feel passion, feel hope, feel loved, when the weight of their gaze keeps me chained here? This pain has a price, my love, a ransom, and my heart is just the left over shreds. Their words bind me, but there are no words to explain it, because this love is killing me. Whatever's left is struggling to feel. Why can't they just let me love? Rain pours, and I could swear the puddle resembles a heart in my eternal prison. I hear a voice. I turn. Where is he? Why would he leave me at their hands? His name is just a whisper in the wind, his voice a silence.
