Me and my friends were in a small town, pausing the road trip for the next day since our van broke down. We decided to live in a friend's house near by which was a normal 2 storey house with a large basement. The odd thing was, our friend (Dr. Klifford/ Dr. K) wasn't in his house, he did leave a note on the door saying he would be back soon. His car was not in the driveway, meaning he did leave that day. We grabbed our things and settled ourselves in the house. We found the town very strange, not a person was outside, although the weather was nice and sunny.

We explored Dr. K's house, there wasn't very much until we went into the basement. There were refrigerators of test tubes, boards of plans, and many other scientific things only Cara, our science geek friend knew about. She wanted to stay in the basement to learn more, so we left her and we looked some more. There were just enough rooms for all 5 of us to sleep in and we put our things in the rooms we wanted.

Cara called us down to the basement again a few minutes later. She said these plans and mixtures were a cure for the undead. It seemed like some sort of prank, Dr. K wanted to prank us? We didn't know enough to be sure. Or maybe Dr. K was preparing to save himself from an apocalypse of the undead, or zombies? There were newspaper articles everywhere, dating just 2 weeks before, about the uprising of zombies in this little town. "Maybe it's over." Tyler said. "No way! If it was over, these antidotes would have been used and Dr. K would have written that note a long time ago. It's been just 3 hours since he left." I said. "Do you think... We should start getting ourselves ready?" Tyler asked. "We better. We've got the stuff. You guys go find some more stuff we could use when we are the ones they want. I'll study and make more of these antidotes, you never know, we could run out." Cara said.

The other four set out for the 2nd floor of the house. It didn't look like much, it looked like an attic, a large attic, with so many boxes. "Let's look into these boxes, we might find stuff we need. We'll bring what we find to the others." Drake said. "Dude! You guys! Look! Ammunition, Guns! Weapons! Grenades!" Fia said. "Whoa, you serious?" Tyler said. "Do these boxes of everything we need look like play time? No way Dr. K would keep trash up here. He must've been preparing his whole life!" Fia said. "Come on, we gotta bring these down. two people must stay up here, another pair would stay on the main floor, Cara will be in the basement making antidotes, give her some guns and ammo, just in case." Tyler said.

"Guys! We've got company! It's time. Tell Cara to bring some antidotes up here and on the 2nd floor. Get some guns and only fire on spaces where you can shoot them in the head and not let them in. When they get close, dart the antidotes at them. If we ever run out of ammo, use the weapons and grenades. The antidotes will be our last chance if all hope is lost. You ready?" Drake said. Everyone nodded in agreement and and grabbed the guns from the 2nd floor and got ready to fight for their lives.

They succeeded the first few, there wasn't enough people. They called down the other two in the 2nd floor to cover all four corners of the main floor, while Cara was still in the basement. She was getting petrified, scared it would never work. But she put it all behind her and worked as hard as she could, triple the amount of antidotes Dr. K made. She peeked upstairs once in a while, all seemed fine. The 5 teens knew they wouldn't last forever. With only a one time use of weapons, guns, grenades, ammo, Cara had to keep working in case they run out. But also, the antidote would run out too. They couldn't waste a drop of anything.

Time had passes and the teens grew tired and the amount of zombies were decreasing. They had nowhere to run, their van was a long way away from the house. Someone had to go over to the neighbors and take their guns. In this state, everyone had guns, used them to shoot deer for the season. They had to be careful, the doors maybe locked, or could maybe have zombies in the house. The thoughts raced everyone's mind, what if all of America were zombies? They wouldn't be able to get out. They wouldn't be able to last. All they can ever do now, is keep their hopes up and wish all the best that God would save them.
