Mistress of Word Play

Another lovely song. I hope when you have the musical score available you will upload some of it so we can hear it?
I still like to read it and make up the melody as I go.
Thank you for another lovely song.

Oh thanks so much, Mistress. I love your comments, they sure cheers my day. I still don't have the melody done for the lyrics, but when I compose it I'll post here so you can tell me what do you think about it. Now I just need to learn some musical skills to do that...lol
Kisses :]

hmm. I suppose I'd have to hear the song in context to make much out of this. The lyrics don't do much to move me without having a tune to put them to. Then again, I'm the kind of person who listens to more dark and depressing lyrics than these are. The words seem to work well together, except for the line "accept to play my game," which really doesn't make a lot of sense to me. I think that's the one line that needs some work.

Oh thanks for the comment. Yeah this is a "have some fun song", it's very different from the other songs in the "Before The Lights... The Darkness" book. This was a very dark phase of mine, I had a lot of depressing songs that I believe you'd dig in. "Really Sometimes" and "Could Be this Way" was one of few songs that escaped from this dark phase.
And about the "accept to play my game", it's about when you ask someone to lose control and let you assume so this person can get what he\she wants. But I'll definately work on that to make it more clear, thanks for the tip :]

i like the flow of these lyrics. i was listening to a beat in my head while reading them haha it went nicely. I agree with Anson about that one line that needs work, as well as the line 'hand up yourself to this wave'. They are both somewhat jarring. Other than that, i like it =] nicely done

Thanks for the tips and the kind comment. I'm really glad you like my work. I wrote this songs a long time ago, back in the days I was just 15 years old boy it was just learning how to speak in English. Today when I look back to my work I saw my gramma flaws, but I decided to keep them to remind me about my learning process, like old "stupid" scars...lol :]

uuuh, im not really good at poems :p I cant analyse them or find a beat like the above commenters :) But then again from a newbie at poems I think it's good :)The only thing I can point out is: If it is a song there is a thing under add new called song lyrics :) Use that if it is a song.

Interesting and what an enjoyable piece of writing. I noticed that you wrote it in a song form. Nice! So do you play an instrument? I would assume Guitar, but I don't know. Anyway, great piece.

Sun, October 4th, 2009 1:02am

Thanks for the lovely comment. I don't play any instrument yet. But as soon as I can spend some time on classes I'd love to learn to play guitar. Thanks again for the comment :]

I think it's okay... sorry for that but it doesn't really sound like my type of music by the way the lyrics sound.

But don't let that discourage you I am pretty sure there's a lot of people who aren't as boneheaded as me =]

Sun, October 4th, 2009 1:49am

No problem and you're not a bonehead..lol Actually I read your poems and I loved it. After I read them, I think there're some of my lyrics you may like it. These one were released in my latest works. I'll post them next. I hope I can keep counting with your feedback. :]

Princess Aqua

This was the best song I ever read, are you a proffesinal in writing songs?

Sat, October 10th, 2009 5:34pm

OMG!! Thank you so much, you're so sweet. I have been writting since I was 13 years old (today I'm 24... :p), but I never think about myself as a pro. I just love to do what I do. Specially, when people enjoy and are able to relate to what I composed.

Thank you again for you lovely comment. :]

I'm a bit of a poet too. I like this, and the chorus is awesome. Is the title in reference to Stephen King's short story?

Mon, November 9th, 2009 7:50am

Thanks for comment, my friend. No, I'm a huge Stephen King's fan but this title isn't a reference to one of his works. Actually, I didn't know about that piece.. I'll check it out 'cause anythng written by the master is a welcome reading. Thanks again.
