The Observer Inside

Noisy bliss and a life full of pain,
dark streets with only one lane.
Cool breeze on a spring day,
bright flashes of light in endless rain.
So much to learn and so much to share,
people senselessly wander the Earth and don't care.
A world full of ignorance and hate,
we are blind to what angers us, is it too late?
We come into this world, innocence at first;
wars rage throughout the world, chaos ready to burst.
As time flows by, entropy takes its place;
the past is a cold ember, the future a burning embrace.
A sea of dreams awaits me, as I sleep tonight,
stories so vivid, full of colors so bright.
I ponder my own mortality, what does that mean?
Is there life after death, or is it like sleep without dreams?
My last sunrise, will be my last sunset;
I will dream forever and never forget.
