I wrote a basket full of sonnets dear

And all of them I want just you to hear

To feel each warm embrace, each different taste

Even richest chocolates could not replace.

Blindfolded each tale would then appear

And sweetly as it came would disappear

Leaving a short lingering new fragrance

With elements of danger and romance.

Upon completion, page would rose petal

To make but tiny cups for catching tears

Shedding themselves as all leaves fall

With a last breath it disappears-

A short wake commencing to an opera

Ending with bubbly and" to us" a cheers.
