When my father passed on through

At the ripe age of thirty-nine

He left behind:

A biker jacket and a box

I never understood why.

Like a fruit I consumed his plight

I vowed to solve it inside

His jacket was my amour

Against all form of lover

I left to a gypsies life.

My guardian angel

so unobtainable

My secret lover

belonged to another

Her smile was my vessel.

Her fantasy was my destiny

For she was afraid of change

And kept her simplicity

Over the passing age

I drifted from her city.

Port to port

Or to door

I performed for

For I had tamed fire

And learned control over desire.

I have abandon ship

From this relationship

Declaring my wounds

To the world

Ne'er again to win the girl.

The names would change

My mel-mabelle would ring

Hung from each port mast

Before bed it would sing

with each toasted shot glass.

She had divorced

Owned to a pirate no more

The knell wouldn't be silenced

Again to the oars and to adore

My treasure of the finest.

In what worlds behavior

Could a mermaid court a sailor

She spoke of two different worlds

And not knowing the other.

Silence were her last words

So tonight I build a funeral pyre

For my father and my desired

On a floating sunset fire.
