Prometheus gave the fire from the gods to human kind and we waste it on money and greed.

a sonneteer by day, busker by night

a love half in darkness and half in light-

a pro of pose of idle flame compose

collected and together they have posed

one mouth no ears and yet the sound is bright

all colors fade to smoke black and fire white.

permits for building permits to speak woes

yet not permitted on the street there goes.

for freedom earned the dollar always spurs

and yet like flesh it too must also burn

a fire staff of smoke so thickly churns

fueled by biased lessons bought not learn-

poor Prometheus, soul forever burns

while watching his efforts retort unearned.
