We were talking about identity at school so i thought writing a poem about it would be a good way to avoid my homework.

I know lots of people called Sarah,
But only one of those Sarahs is you.
I’ve got two friends born April 6th,
One of them is you,
But you’re not the other one.
You’ve got blonde hair like me,
But that doesn’t mean I’m you,
Does it?
So what does make you, you?
And me, me?
Maybe if we put it all together.
There can’t be two Sarahs with blonde hair,
Born April 6th.
Can there?
But what if there is?
Does that mean you’re the same person?
And if I met that person,
Would I think they were you?
Or that you were them?
What if I met someone exactly the same as me?
Would I start thinking I was them?
Or would they try and become me.
I’m confused.
What is Identity anyway?
