Michael Cera returns in the same role he plays every movie, but is that really bad? Not for the present. It works for him. I came to this movie hoping for either a Juno-ish or Superbad-esq movie and was not disappointed. I feel as though I'm watching Michael Cera the character grow up. As for the movie, what was your most memorable night? Mine always revolved around a beat up car that surfed places around town. We make profound moments by the most mundane experiences. Above everything else, that is what this movie is about, un-wasted youth. I like the movie poster. It is the best description, it says to me "we are happening in the world." I don't have much to say about Kat Dennings' portrayal. She played it well. The character itself started off pretty interesting but ended quickly with a cliche producer's daughter's conundrum. The truly best character's were the supporting cast, Ari Graynor (Caroline), Rafi Gavron (Dev), Aaron Yoo (Thom), and Jonathan B. Wright (Lethario, ps I have always really loved that name and am so happy it is being used.) Of course the three men can all be lumped together as Nick's fairy godfathers but deep down inside I know there's a little Caroline just waiting to burst out of me. Each of the characters had their own little quirks that helped stage this realistically toned movie. Most importantly, this movie will make you think twice if you have ever shared a piece of gum with your friend. If you skipped Juno or Superbad, do not miss Nick and Nora's Infinite Playlist.
