There was a Knight called Fredricks,
And he was the Knight of Day.
He loved to parade in his armour
Up and down the bay.

Until one day a Knight came
And he was the Knight of Night.
He said, ‘Oy! Shift! This is my time”
“Oh, one who’s not that bright!”

The Knight of Day refused,
“Oh, I shall always rule!”
“So leave me now, and do make haste”
“You gallivanting fool!”

Then the Knight of Night refused,
“Your rule must end, for now.”
“Of course, you will return, I’m sure,
“But, for now, to me you bow!”

Old Day was having none of it,
His blows on Night did shower,
So the Knight of Night punished Day,
And sent Day back an hour!
