The air turned black all around me. Dean’s auburn coloured hair was drenched in sweat; he was scared, I was scared. I choked as I tried to breathe in the dense air. “So this is his sick game” Dean managed to whisper, I nodded; completely freaked out. We stealthily crept along the ground, occasionally smacking into a tree. A twig snapped, we froze; hearts beating hard. An eerie giggle filled the silence; goosebumps rippled up my arms and legs, panting, Dean yelled. I literally jumped out of my skin. “What the hell?! Are you trying to get us killed?!” I growled, shining my torch toward him. “Oh my god” barely a sound came out; Dean’s body was sprawled on the ground. His limbs were disjointed awkwardly; his throat was torn, blood pooled out. “No” I whispered, I had escaped with him by my side, he had been the one to calm me down. I was not ready for this. Shaking I did the only thing I could do, run. I didn’t care if he heard; I just wanted to get out of there. Just as I saw the clearing; something pulled me down. I screamed. The killer advanced on me, a knife pulled out. I was not going to let this happen a second time in one night. Hearing voices over the wind, I shrieked out for help. The killer froze, waiting for anything moving. Nothing. “You’re out of luck” the killer smiled, the knife glinting in the moon light. Panicking, I did what I would normally do in this situation; I kicked the killer in the stomach, sending him into a tree. This was my opportunity for escape. I quickly crawled over to a fallen log and pulled myself up. The killer still dazed, I ran for my life. Shining the torch in front of me, I made my way into the clearing, “Safe” I yelled into the wind, as I collapsed onto the ground.

Later that night, sirens danced along the grass, the killer still wasn’t found. “Don’t worry miss, we’ll find him” an officer reassured me. I wrapped myself in a blanket, as they hulled Dean’s body bag into an ambulance; looking away I noticed a note on the ground. Picking it up, it read: One of us is going to be killed tonight, let’s hope it’s me; be safe

I stifled back a sob, Dean knew he was going to die and yet he wanted too?? For me?? I didn’t get it, and I didn’t want too. An officer came up to me, “We found only 2 more bodies, were there anymore?” he crouched down to my eye level. “No, I don’t think so” I whispered, remembering how brutally the others were viciously ripped apart. I couldn’t take it anymore, I fell into the officer’s arms; crying. “I just don’t understand why people would do this” I caught back my sobs. When I finally finished, I pulled back feeling embarrassed. “Oh I know why people would” the officers gave an evil grin, shit it was HIM. My eyes widened, trying to scream but nothing came out. My own brother was the killer. The grin came again; a knife was safely tucked away in his shirt. Before I could react, he pulled it towards my throat. “Don’t make a sound” he whispered. He pulled me to my feet and dragged me into the car. “We’re going for a little ride” he announced, as the sun began to rise.
