As you enter the house
With abeaten car in the
Gravel laid drive
You walk past the
Panicked, sobbing, effected
As you enter the room
You see it...
Hanging from the ceiling
Bleeding on the sheets
Splattered on the walls
Limp extremities dangling like a silent wind chime
A razor blade still in hand, moistened with blood
A cooling firearm, freshly used
You know that...
A twenty-five year old father, could no longer provide
for his newly formed family
A sixteen year olds boyfriend, just broke up with her
A seventy year old male, is hiding from consequences
They all took the easy way out
They all bequeathed
On to survivors
Struggle alone to provide
Wonder where they went wrong
Question if you really had something to hide from
Was it worth it...
To not look for a new job?
To not move on, and to seek love again?
To cheat consequences?
Did you think about...
The first time you held your baby?
Your family who loves you?
Your wife, children, and grandchildren who will miss you?
Did it make it easier on you to know...
Your son will grow up with out a father?
Your parents will seal off your room?
Your family will remember you as a coward?
