It's been so long

I can't recall

How I was

Before that fall

When I learned of

My dire state

After discovering

A bit too late

It spread throughout

This now bed bound mound

An untouched organ

Just can't be found

They gave me weeks

But I lived to see

Month one, month two,

And now month three

I watched real close

How the season changed

I'm giving up

My hope is drained

I struggled through

With all my might

I'm walking out

I've lost the fight

Yesterday my treatment stopped

It seems my luck has finally flopped

I've lived my life

As best as can be

Please O Lord

Just set me free
