This poem is more like a song about a girl who thought there was only one way out.

The tears of lonliness fell down her face

And the blood of her sadness trickled down her arm

She didn't think she belonged any place

Her name was Stacie

Stacie thought no one could understand

How she felt inside

And sometimes the things that happened were unplanned

Stacie thought she couldn't hold on

She thought there was only one way out

Only one way out

Stacie don't be a fool

Don't be a fool

Well, Stacie didn't know

How much she needed to live for

She could only see through the empty window

Of her heart

Stacie didn't want to see

Herself as a great person and a good friend

She didn't want to be

Around anymore

And Stacie took the razor

Held it against her wrists

And she heard a gentle whisper

Of hope agaInst her ears

And it said, "Don't ever let go,

to the hope that's still alive, burning like a flame."

Stacie stopped and put the razor down

And realized she'd be the only one to blame

And Stacie knew that the sun had not set yet

Set yet

And she was not alone

She was not alone

Well Stacie didn't know

How much she needed to live for

She could only see through the empty window

Of her heart

And Stacie knew

She wanted to see the world through clear eyes

And the lonliness withdrew

And maybe she was once like you
