Rachel's done. She can't take anymore of this, that, life in general. I know it's short, but I was having writers block :P. Rated R just to be safe. (PS, the title is a work in progress)

Rachel stared at the calendar. The thirteenth circled in red. She pulled the plug on her alarm clock so it flashed 12:00 in bright red, flashing letters. She undressed and put on her pink bathrobe. She walked towards the bathroom, but she stopped at her bed on the way there. Under her bed was a little tin box, which held three addressed envelopes. The first in pink was addressed to Joey, the next,in green, Madeline. Finally, and painfully, she traced the three letters written in her handwriting. Mom. Fighting back tears, she placed that final purple envelope next to the others. She walked slowly to the bathroom. She stood facing the mirror and choked back tears, watching herself swallow one, two, three, five too many pills. As the realization of the harm she was causing kicked in, she began to cry, sobbed even. Then, wiping the bitter tears from her face, she silently took off her robe and stepped into the now cold bath water. She leaned back and waited for the pills to kick in. The whole time thinking of the wonderful, peaceful sleep she was never going to wake up from. She finally gave in to the heaviness of her eyes and let her head go to the bottom of the tub.

Rachel woke up. Shocked and in disbelief, she looked around the empty room, trying to take in her surroundings. She sat up, still very groggy. She scratched at the x's on her wrist, the ones she so desperately tried to hide. A hospital band was now on her left wrist. A hospital, that explains it. She got up and walked around her room. And that's when she heard it. Sobs. Loud, upset, heartbroken sobs. Rachel went and opened the door, only to see the person she most desperately did not want to have to face. "Why Rachel?" Her mother looked at her in a way, Rachel had never seen before. "We can get you help". She had it, she was done. "You and I both know there's no use!" They both stood in disbelief. Rachel hadn't spoken  in months. "There's always something we can-" She was cut off by her daughters screams. "No there's not! There was a time when you could have done something but you didn't! It's too fucking late now!" She paused only to punch the wall. "This isn't something that can't just  go away mother! I'm in deep shit both physically and mentally! And everyone knows it too!" Her mother reached for her, attempting to calm her down. "Honey, please. Just listen." She pushed her away. "No! I'm tired of listening to everyone else! I have a voice! I am a person believe it or not!" Rachel fell to her knees, only to crumble to he ground seconds later. Her mom silently wept, and held her daughter. With tear filled eyes, Rachel looked up with not only eyes filled with sorrow and apology, but also defeat. "Mom, I need help".
