Today I sit and think about,

Everything we’ve been through.

I’d have to say,

You had no clue.

Now I go into my thoughts,

Into my heart.

I guess we may have fought a lot,

But I loved you from the start.

To be honest,

I fell in love with the guy I knew.

You replaced him,

My feelings you had no clue.

How did I not notice?

You and I could never be.

I wish that you were still my friend,

But if I told you that, you’d flee.

Why did I have to realize,

My heart yearned for you.

Why didn’t I see?

We weren’t meant to be.

I say this with love,

It’s your fault I write this.

I guess it’s time to say,

My heart is full of bliss.

I always knew,

My feelings for you would die.

So I sit and write,

My final goodbye.

Say good bye to the girl you knew,

For she’s changing for the better.

I won’t be gone,

Just changed.
