I have the utmost confidence in people, though this can, at times, be a very hard thing to have faith in, especially based on the world today, I rely on an idea that these problems are man made and therefore can be fixed by man. Ingenuity is something man kind has fared particularly well throughout history and I see this a common tool in most, if not all, types of individuals. The question is not whether we can solve the problem but whether or not we can come to the self awareness of  what we are capable of and what the problem is. The majority of people who lack this self awareness are the ones who put these chains on themselves and other by conforming to this thought constraining society. It was the working class who fought for independence in the American Revolution, it was the working class Marx believed would come to self awareness and equalize the separation between classes. Indeed the conditions are ripe for revolution but I see people unwilling to let go. It’s not that so many don’t even see the walls but rather they’ve grown to such a point they depend on them. It’s all that they know, all that they are willing to learn.
So many people oppose certain thoughts or thoughts that are different from theirs mainly for one reason; it’s not that they dislike the thought but what feelings they have been taught are associated to such an idea. I can talk about the marijuana laws for example and some people will grow so uncomfortable that they can’t even stand it. They’ve never smoked it, never even looked at the plant and probably know absolutely nothing about it but they still get uneasy in discussing it over the society created stigma. Not a feeling created by their own but something they have been taught that they have accepted on egotistical desires. The same thing goes for people of political parties or religion and the same goes for why some people can accept such bullshit. It’s unfortunate such organizations have developed as the norm where people accept them not due to any true rational thinking but on an inner desire to feel accepted by ones peers. We are either conformed by our parents at an early age or we conform later, usually after having lived a “tough” by societies standards it becomes something subconscious where society has told you that you are not living by their standards of right. The ego’s that are unable to deal with that seek out a change through religion which creates not just a sense of acceptance by God but by an acceptance of others who have seen that you have now” changed your life” to the Lord. Whether or not you become a good person is not something the religion creates but something YOU have chosen. Granted the church is an excellent opportunity to help others it does not make someone a good person, it simply takes credit. This is another area where ego can slip in is if we do live righteously it is to dimply be a good person and not have yourself sit right with “God.” I see this as faulty attempts in righteous living.
Time has been the ultimate measuring tool of what is truth and what is false. From the abolition of slavery, womens equality, civil rights, human rights among others the ideas that people rightfully recognized when standing for such causes. Of course there were others who felt in accordance with the constraining idea society wrought upon them. It is the ideas of freedom and equality that rings true. These our truths our modern society lacks and are ideals we need to stand for. We have a political system that destroys freedoms and an economic system that destroys equality, setting stage for the everlasting battle between humans of the haves and the have nots. We continue to create man made rifts in human unity that are continued by peoples dependency on this lie most are living in. They fear the unknown, the truth, themselves so they distract themselves with bullshit things like television, video games, internet. They are comfortable, they feel safe in their little bubble of merely existing. They stand for little to nothing and if they do it’s well within the limited spectrum society has imposed; they continue to attempt living life constrained by this lie.
