What an amazing wedding that was. I laughed a hell of a lot, smile way too much, and see so many of my friends cry. Though unfortunately I didn't cry. I say unfortunately because while I standing at the altar with the groom he looks at me and says " What you're not gonna cry? That's a first you asshole." While I know that he was totally joking I was surprised that I didn't cry. I cry at alot of things that others might consider stupid. Like E.T., Buffy , and even the Fox and the Hound. But for some reason I didn't explode into tears while standing at the altar with my best friend. I don't know what it was but I just couldn't. I felt like I was going to from seeing the look in his eyes as the love of his life walked down the isle towards him and the beginning of their new life. I never say Brian cry until that day and I was touched.I am extremely happy for both Brian and Kristen. they are like my brother and sister. They have what it takes in my opinion to make this last. They definitely have more than most couples that decide to get marry so the odds are in their favor. It was a little stressfull standing there infront of all those people but i got through it. To be honest I would do it a million more times if they asked me cause I love them both like family.

After the ceremony we went to the reception. It was kinda weird the entire bridal party standing around in the Bridal suite waiting to be called into the reception. It was cool though it gave me the chance to get to know alot of really awesome people. All I can say is that Arathusa know how to get down. While the sun was still setting we went out on the balcony to take some more puctures of all the groomsmen and brides maid. It was actually pretty damn awesome out there and the view behind us only added to it. I'm pretty excited to see how well they turned out. Though I'm not sure how long that will be. After pictures on the balcony we all headed back in to the suite and just hung out and had a few drinks with even more laughs. Suddenly the Master of ceremonies came in and said to line up. He was aboout to call all of us out to the reception. I was pretty nervous since I knew the impending speech was coming up. So as The Maid of Honor and I got ready to make our entrance I could feel my stomach begin to twist into knots. I'm pretty surprised that I wasn't even more stressed out than I was. So I definitely give myself props for that. After the entire wedding party made their entrance, we all took our seats at our respective table. I knew that my speech was coming up when dinner was to be served. Suddenly as they began calling the tables in order to come and get some foodstuffs I began to feel calm.

I knew that what I was going to say was from the heart and I felt that I was going to knock this speech out of the park. The master of ceremonies announced that the Maid of Honor was going to give her speech. She was sitting behind me at table ten as I turned to watch her stand up. She didn't look nervous at all. She was calm, cool, and collected. Even for writing her speech on the bus up from the city, it was awesome. You could tell that she was happy to be standing there at Kristens wedding giving that speech. The speech was from her heart and everyone could tell it. I got kinda lost a few times cause she threw in a bunch of inside jokes that not many people knew but she did her best. Her best was more than enough. Peopl cheered loudly as the speech came to an end. I confidently reached into my inside jacket pocket to retrieve the coveted speech I've been working so long on. I pulled the stack of index cards out and looked at them. I became alarmed as I saw they started on 12 of 29 instead of 1 of 29. So I thought to myself that perhaps they are just mixed up. I frantically thumbed threw them looking for the beginning of my speech and to no avail. I only brought half of my speech. I did a face palm and cursed myslef and my horrible luck.

The master of ceremonies began to announce me and my intentions. So I stood up and carefully let the crowd know of my predictament. I began truely speaking from my heart and as awesome as the first halfof my speech was I didn't need it. The crowd laughed and jeered as I began playfully making fun of the groom and how lost he would be without his wife. I was surprised at how well my freestyling was reaching these people. My fears of looking like a complete ass began to melt away with every word that sprung from my lips. I was even able to connect the winging it portion with what I had left seamlessly. I managed to even impress myself. I'm not gonna lie, sure I am a little vain and I usually do think highly of myself. But it takes a whole lot to impress me and I managed to do it. I finished my written portion and the room began to cheer at the end. I had complete strangers coming up to me telling me how wonderfull that speech was. I think the best complimant of the night was when a few people told me I should be a writer. I mean sure I would love to be an actual writer one day. But to hear it  coming from complete strangers it was amazing. I like to think that my speech was one of the highlights of that special day and I know that Brian and Kristen will never forget it.

It was an awesome day overall and I am truely honored to have been a part of such an awesome day. I hope that my wedding will be filled with as much love and happiness that their's was. Brian and Kristen left for their honeymoon last night and I wish them nothing but the best on their adventure. These two people truely are a living example of what not only love but what marriage is all about. Congratulations you two. I love you both.
