One night I couldn't fall asleep. Then this came out of my head. After that I slept like a baby that had to woke up at 7:30am.

These words suddenly erupt from my head

In a panic I scatter beneath them

Falling to the page as coherently as the rain in June

Oblivious of when the clouds will break

Giving way to the next storm

Seeking the solace of my pen to shelter the storm

What of the ones left out to weather with only the rocks

They may be thirsty craving for the flood waters to rise

Sinking deeply in the waters

Wafting down the currents

The waters recede from the light of the warm sun

Revealing that life has been washed back into these once parched lands

Perhaps it is Spring Time for some people's souls
