Cant sleep, cant rest my head,

Terrified I'll wake up dead,

Stay awake, keep concious thought,

Frightened by the things I've fought,

No relief, and no respite,

Unquiet mind, throughout the night,

Sanity sleeps, so who can blame,

This twisted mind, so filled with shame.

.

Sunken eyes, and hollow face,

Mind devoid of sleep's embrace,

Cant go on, had enough,

Too tired to see through simple bluff,

Yet still cant sleep, must carry on,

Until all trace of me is gone,

Until I'm just an empty shell,

Wandering lost in lonely hell.

.

Strength has gone, reserves depleted,

Wont be long, my mind defeated,

Doomed to fail, to end in tears,

Shattered self, destroyed by fears,

The twilight hours, no comfort there,

The waking dawn, no warmth does share,

Cant understand, cant see my pain,

Then wonder why my mind's insane.
