Im sick and tired of older people,
Those who say my age ain't right,
I dont know what to make of it,
Is it jealousy, or spite?
Oh im sure there is a reason,
Why my generations weird,
Infact its no suprise at all,
When you look at how we're reared.
So where to start, well how about war,
We've many, some corrupt,
And what about this climate change,
With talks so damn abrupt.
So given such poor building blocks,
These bad cards we have been played,
Is it odd we do not follow you,
And that off your path we've strayed?
So if you seek a reason,
For so-called crazy things we do,
The answers aren't that far away,
Just look inside of you.
Now while I have your focus,
At least I hope its all on me,
There are some things i'll raise with you,
Some things you need to see.
So first the thing that irks the most,
The height of your insult,
Is that you never treat us fair,
First children, then adult.
Its not fair if you can pick and choose,
Class us just to suit you,
So eiher treat us like we're kids, and give us child fare,
Or treat us like we're adults, so we can vote and drink beer too.
And now its onto music,
And the difference 'tween our ears,
Just dont knock it 'til you've tried it,
Just coz its changed over your years.
And just to add, where you had Mods,
Punk rockers, maybe Flappers,
We have Chavs, Emo's and Goths,
and even Happy Slappers.
So just dont hate us just because,
We've changed life as you know it,
Coz we're still gunna get the Earth,
Unless, that is, You blow it.
