Part two

\"Can you hear that? Darkness has come\", whispered the dragon in Reaggo.Yellow eyes emerged from the shadows. There was hissing nose coming from deep within the cave. \"Yes, I can hear it but what is it? Is it a serpent? Yes, it must be.\" \"Show that dragon what true fire feels like!\" The creature said in Tilgado. Blue burning moist flew out of the cave and burned the dragon on the chest as it roared it agony and a gash of a wound appeared. \"What was that?\" Folan asked the beast as they moved away from the cave entrance and took to the sky. There was a mark on the dragon's skin, blood was oozing and it was like no wound they had ever seen. \"What magic is this?\" \"See, dragons do bleed and I thought your skin was made of stones\", a rough voice said in the language of the serpents. A large creature then crawled out of the cave and met them in the sky. Big black slimy wings flapped as it flew while the relentless rain showed no mercy. It was a giant barsilisk-like creature with black wings. \"Are you hurt Velvet?\" He asked the dragon as she was fumming, fire coming out of its nostril and kept growling. \"You need to calm down and breath, keep the fire in your belly burning.\" The beast was in no mood for talking as it breathed more fire, this time at the serpent and at the strange dark barsilk creature with purple eyes. But somehow the golden flames could not touch them. The fire was not as scorching it seemed. Folan with his wand out, he casted a spell, the Greenthunder enchantment but the serpent's beast swallowed the surging lightening and nothing happened but a burp of dark green smoke. In return, a black and swift excression of moist sprayed out of the beast's tail and into the phoenix's eyes and dragon. He cried in agony, his eyes burning and going blind. Vision left him but the dragon could still see in glimpses. It opened its mouth and out came a golden and reddish blaze. The strong serpent comjured a force field of green air and then ducked in retreat of the flames but Folan was now blind and clearly could not see a thing. \"What did you do to me?\" he screamed in horror. His voice smeared with sorrow and confusion. \"Introduced you to the darkness\", the serpent king replied. \"And now that you've seen darkness, it's time you've went there, permanently!\" He took out his sword, a black blade from his scabbard. He ducked the inferno that came out of Velvet's mouth once more. The sky was black and grey rain kept falling hard. The on going battle on the ground was small when viewed from the sky. It was wet and bloody. Loss of limbs, cracked heads and skulls, slid throats, arrowed-guts, stabbed soldiers and death rode a large broom sweeping most of the parties on the blooded lonely forest. \"Velvet\", shouted the phoenix calling out to his red beast that glittered and shined as the grey showers fell on him. He then said something to it in Reaggo. He took out his blade too, as if he knew serpent king had drawn his sword too. In the air, the dragon and the large flying barsalisk came together, claws coming together, heads bucking. The serpent came from the back of the beast and stood on its head and so did Folan the Phoenix, charging forward screaming and grunting. \"The feared Phoenix, that's who you're suppose to be but I don't see it. And oh, the irony, here you are blind in everyway\", he said in Tilgado. \"Can you see me?\" He asked as their swords clashed and sung in the black rainy sky. \"Yes I can\", Folan said sharply. \"Oh, yes and I like the darkness, the monsters here love me and you will too!\" He said as he ran and drove his shoulder blade in the serpent's gut and sent them both flying off. They were falling and grappling in the air and landed on the roof of an old tower nearby. Folan's wand slipped as it was wet and it slid down and so did he, following the sound of it crackling on the roof. The serpent king too was sliding down, his sword in hand but he was following Folan. \"Velvet!\", shouted the phoenix and his vision a bit blurry but returning. He could not see the dragon but he could here it doing battle with that large serpent. He needed her and so did she but they could not connect. The moment has passed and the world has altered. The stars, the moon and the sun gaze and applaud as the world bleeds, as the skies tear apart and as the earth burns and do nothing to stop their children. But in the scattered ashes of the undying fires you will rise again, only in the ashes. \"Did you see us coming, the fog in your dreams perhaps? Hmmm, sure you did as we espected but the truth of a matter is it was all there and now you know. Yes, this is not the storm that was promised, no. This is merely a glimpse, a fraction of what's to come. And you were right, there was nothing you could ever do, ever with your dragon.\" \"Yes, that much I knew but you should also know as it is known, as you burn the world I love, there will be ashes and where there are ashes, a phoenix will rise\", he could only smurk. \"You die quim\", the serpent king proclaimed and stabbed the phoenix in the back and he cried the beast's name again, \"Velvet!\" When she looked down at him calling his name, the flying giant barsalisk appeared out of nowhere and sunk its fangs on the oozing blooded wound of the dragon, piercing through and poising it. The beast too cried and orange flames came out its mouth. The beast fell while the serpent king twisted his black blade at the back of the phoenix's back and he watched with a blurred and distorted sight as his dragon fell. There was a loud nose like a gong when the dragon hit the ground. \"Then you and the monsters will have all the time you want together in the darkness.\" Folan let out a grunt and closed his eyes as one does when falling asleep. The End
