Children of Heaven

Rejected and lost, stumbling through life

not knowing they may dream...

No one to call in those moments of fright,

when shadows and boogiemen calls at night.

No shushes to sooth or soft gentle brush

to say it's okay, oh hush baby hush.

No toy box or teddies, no birthdays with cake.

A life without Christmas, the yums mommy bakes.

No bear hugs from Daddy, no kisses from Mom.

No Granny to spoil them or Grandpa to romp.

God is waiting for us to bring them in,

bring them to the home that He lives in.

And every day onward to hold them tight,

a hug and a cuddle to show them the light.

There is Someone who loves them.

That Someone in hearts burning bright.
