Storm winds

Sometimes in the light of day we don't see all that clear
we always wait for rainy days to find a feeling dear
Dreary days with shaded light to send our thoughts astray
is all we ever really feel the low time of the day?
Then what pray tell does stormy days command our hearts to feel ?
The wind whipped thoughts of loss and pain does often feel more real.
Pessimistic overflow in a world of darkness, sure...
but don't we know that life itself is how we do endure?
The difference for a happy life is only in the mind.
To find the source of happiness, it is thoughts, repaid in kind.
Sunshine in the heart encased is ever in a smile,
but all we do is chase the storm for yet another mile.
