HAUNTING DREAMS

I CAN HEAR THE SCREAMS

I CAN HEAR THE SCREAMS

BUT THE WOMAN CAN'T BE SEEN

SHE ONLY COMES IN MY DREAMS

ONLY AT NIGHT

WHEN THERE'S NO LIGHT

AND MY EYES ARE SHUT TIGHT

SHE COMES TO ME

SHE KNOWS I CAN SEE

SHE KNOWS THE KILLER WASN'T ME

HE WAS THE ONE ON BENDED KNEE

PROFESSING HIS LOVE

FOR ALL ETERNITY

WITH THIS RING

I THEE WED

FOR BETTER OR WORSE

WHICHEVER COMES FIRST

I LOVE YOU WITH ALL MY HEART

UNTIL DEATH DO WE PART

NOW THE BODY IS COLD

HE TOOK BACK HIS RING OF GOLD

AND GAVE IT TO ANOTHER TO HOLD

WHY DOES THIS WOMAN COME TO ME

I MAY NEVER KNOW

BUT I THOUGHT HER STORY

SHOULD BE TOLD
