Up in the tree is where I'll be
Steady I climb
The limbs beneath my feet

My sad heart beats
My troubles follow
The lump in my throat
So hard to swallow

Covers my hand
This sap so sticky
The higher I go
The further I'll be

All alone
This is my tree
I share with my Lord
Give all to Thee

Take them all
I can not bare
One after another
I know you care

Look up at the sky
The sun shining down
I want to fly away
While the wind spins around

Thank you Lord
For listening to me
I'll sit a little longer
Up in my tree.
