Drip drop goes the rain
Drip drop do you feel the pain?

I lay there awake
still thinking of the day
my mind crammed and twisting
ready to break.

I need to calm down
go back to sleep
but I feel I will drown
keep me up so I dont sink.

Rain against my window
oh how I'd like to be
free to become whatever
free falling on me.

I want to feel the breeze
of the rain coming down
I open the window
as I step out on the ground.

Bare foot I walk
it feels so good
enters the smell of rain
takes me back to my childhood.

My pain begans to release
as I stand in the street
no sound but the wind
God gives me total peace.

Running through the puddles
splashing in my face
He gave me this rain
to show me His grace.

I'm soaked to the bone
rain covering my body
makes me think of His love
the love so heavenly.

Hands raised up high
I pray to God above
thank you for this rain
its more than enough.

Please get me through these days
they can be so rough
I don't want to forget you
and all of your love.

Back to my bed
I lay back down
I'm falling a sleep
with wet footprints on the ground.

Drip drop goes the rain
Drip drop no more pain....
