I stopped short in a thought about how killing wolves was really an act of rejecting the government and not a way to save the crop.

Reject The Wolves

Cows moving, mooing, and meandering behind the safety of fences.
Wolves howling in the distance protected by legislation and law.

An old man hears the wolf and remembers the laws.
The laws that destroyed his economy and dream.

The man rejects the wolf and not the government.
The man must protect his crop, his cows.

The wolf doesn't threaten the cows.
There are plenty of deer to eat.

The government has regulated the man’s food.
The wolf represents to the man the government.

The government can eat the man’s food.
Man values beauty but not the wolf’s beauty.

The moon is high in the sky.
Howls continue to petrify the evening in ominous evanescence.

Man hunts the government.
The government is dead.

A four legged yearling pup dead.
The man sleeps in content.
Rebel against the machine.
