God is so amazing and this story proves that to be true. Although it is fake, I used some real names. My name for instance is Katelyn but I shortened it to Katie in the story. I have a boyfriend whose middle name is Isaac and he is my husband in the story. Me niece is named Sophie but she is not that old yet. Lewis is based on a boy in my church who does not have life easy. The Pastor kind of relates to my pastor at my church. And my mom likes to be called Bobbie so yes, I based the characters on real names.

The gift of salvation
Written by Katelyn Robinson (funnywabbit3008)
From the day she was born, everyone knew how beautiful and amazing Sophie Robinson would grow up to be. Her hair was the color of the dark nights. Her blue eyes were the color of the sky in the summer when people lay in the grass and watch the clouds drift. Her cute button nose sat in the middle of her face. Her skin was a fair Bache’ color and she had some freckles, right under her eyes.
As Sophie grew, so did her personality and imagination. Sophie didn’t cry over herself and the things she had or didn’t have. She went to church with her aunt Katie and prayed for people and with people she saw on the streets that appeared homeless. Sophie loved to pray. She loved praying for people in the church, homeless people, hurt animals and so on. The basic fact was, was that Sophie just loved to talk to Jesus. And she would, Sophie would have full blown conversations like she was talking to a friend.
One day came to pass at the age of nine when Sophie decided she wanted to spend the summer with her Auntie Katie and pray for people. No matter where she went. Sophie had been living with her grandma for quite a while who happened to be Katie’s mom. They arranged every other weekend; Sophie could come down and spend the weekend with Aunt Katie and her husband Uncle Isaac.
One particular weekend became the most fulfilling. Auntie Katie and Uncle Isaac brought Sophie to church with them in the small town of Mexico, Maine. Sophie loved going to the church because all the people in the church were very nice and Pastor Bill was a very nice man. He gave treats to little children who were well behaved.
This particular Sunday morning, Sophie noticed a boy sitting by himself in the pews. Sophie snuck over and sat with the boy. Isaac looked over and saw this and tapped his wife’s leg. She as well looked over and was about to go grab her niece when Isaac told her not to but to keep looking.
Sophie pulled a piece of candy out of her pocket. She handed it to the little boy named Lewis. Lewis looked up and smiled.
“Thank you.” Lewis whispered. Everyone had been wondering why the two kids were sitting by themselves and so everyone in the congregation stared at this little gift from God giving all she had at the time to this little boy. Little did Sophie know but Lewis came from a difficult background.
Lewis lived with his Aunt and Uncle because both his parents had recently been killed in an accident. Lewis did not know Jesus as his savior but Sophie did. The congregation looked forward again and Pastor Bill continued his sermon.
“Ya know we need more people in the church to be like Sophie and give everything we have to someone in need.”Pastor Bill continued to watch Sophie befriend Lewis and he
instantly came up with a different sermon than what he had planned on preaching about.
“God gave everything He had, His life, just for you and me,” Pastor Bill preached. “He died on the cross to save us from our sins. All He had before He died was His life on the
cross. He was perfect and had done nothing wrong. Sophie is a sinner among the rest of us but that was her only piece of candy she had and she gave it to someone who
enjoyed it probably a bit more. We have Jesus inside of us. We need to get out and share Him with other people who need Him as well as us.” As soon as the sermon and
church was over, Sophie asked Lewis if he knew Jesus as his savior. Lewis shook his head no. Sophie asked Lewis if he would like to have Jesus as his savior and Lewis
nodded yes with a smile. At this point lots of people gathered around and Sophie told Lewis to repeat after her.
“Dear Father, I am a sinner but I know You died on the cross and rose again three days later for me. Please Lord God come into me and wash my sins right away. I am in need
of You Father. In Jesus name amen.” I swear you could hear a pin drop. Lewis cried happy tears and gave Sophie a hug. Lewis had been invited by Katie and Isaac to come over
to the house and have a play date with Sophie. Both Sophie and Lewis agreed. Katie had never been more proud of Sophie.
