What did they do to you?
Did they photograph your scars, bruises, bumps, and scabs?
Did they make up crazy lies for their mistakes?
You meant nothing to them
And NO they didn't love you
It's okay to cry; It's okay to have emotions
Where you live now may not be your home
But it's a safe place I promise
Those parents may be foster, but it's better that way
You don't want to live with a bunch of drug addicts
And suffer another punch in the face or a cigarette burn
I know that you have brothers and sisters
And sometimes you wonder if you'll ever meet them again
But please just go to sleep
Stop thinking about your past
Stop having nightmares
She won't burn you with another cigarette
And he won't hit you
Your angels surround you
Your demons won't ever find you
And in the end,
Just remember
This was a faked photograph friendship
Because friends we can never be again
