Civil Wasteland

Like sands of a corroded desert Earth

I search for cows to milk in my hearth

I blow through sandstorms at dawn and dusk

Without my cows I am nothing but a husk

Sunbaked stones clutter the way

As I stumble along through toasted hot clay

Pillars and harsh weeds parade the scenery

Given along, bygone is the greenery.

Hunger and thirst give into madness

No cows remain, there's nothing but sadness

Nothing to ease the pain remains

I wish I had built my city on plains.
