Cold Winters Day at The Beach

The tranquil sea

Charmed by the halcyon

Keeps beckoning me

As the evanescent light

Bursting with triumph through

A canopy of somber clouds

Melts into the griseous sky

Whilst frigid waters

Snake through my toes

And unfeeling, gelid winds

Lash out at my frame

The ripples of the deep

Muddled with the sad sounds

Of a seagull’s screech

Provide the soundtrack

For a cold winters day at the beach.
