My description of a conversation I had with a friend during which I came across some interesting epiphanies. This is my first real attempt at prose, let me know what you think :)

That night I sobbed, loud and disgusting. He told me he wanted to rescue me and talked about our plans for the future. I listened and allowed myself to be quieted all the while knowing with certainty that none of it would ever happen and wondering if I even still wanted it to. It all seemed grandiose and silly now. SImply a forgotten fairy tale I'd once held dear. Now it was beaten down, over used, and thread bare, nice to think about but no longer truly comforting.
