Many demonstrations are held of tv and video equipment nowadays. Time and time again, wide-screen televisions and video equipment is present, as well as developements in relation to realism.

Technology and realism is revolutionising the way we live, not only because you can have new and improved sound as well as picture quality, but also the low prices you have to pay in order to get these gadgets. Definetely, the tendence of the equipment to be used more by nowadays families is to increase. Because of the dwindling of the cinema audience, some people prefer to stay at their home watching a film rather than going to the cinema. The warmth and comfort of our home is unchangeable, we can have the same cinema experience but with the comfort of our sweet home.

However, what technology managers say about comfort are not enthusiastic for some people. Youngsters argue that they still prefer going to cinemas to see their films and couples also agree on going out for a cinema visit to air their views.

Nevertheless, wide screen tv provide realism to what we watch. In addition, writers, theatre directors and film producers are using artificial smells to add realism into their work. Smells have the ability of bringing alive memories and images. Some writers put the scent in the book rather than describing the fragance itself. Moreover, fragances can be reproduced by visual computer programmes and companies can know better what consumers want. It is important to point out that, sometimes the resultant confict of odours, in some occasions, can be unbearable. For instance, adding smells in the auditorium may have a drawback when removing them between different plays.

Technology revolution and realism is getting closer to our homes. Prices are remarkable, people can afford what in the las two years they were not able to. Although some people still prefer to attend cinemas, a large number want to have their home equipped with all they need to have pleasant moments.
