This poem is about someone who can't seem to trust her heart. She lives constantly in fear, wondering what would happen if she does this/that...just read it.

When you first asked me out
Way, way, way back when
You told me to follow my heart
But it was so hard back then

When I moved away, you promised me
That we would keep in touch
You told me to believe my heart
But I had trouble doing such.

When you moved too, to be with me
I was touched inside
You asked me to go to the altar with you
But my fears, I did abide

"How could I calm my fears?" I asked.
You told me just to hush.
But I said I couldn't trust my heart
And you whispered, "just trust us"
