There are children far away

Crying as I write

There are people far away

Stuck without a light

There are deaths every day

So teary rivers flow

There are families broken up

Forced to up and go

There are babies in the gutter

Children left alone

There are elderly abandoned

Away love is thrown

There is hurt

And tears

And pain

And fears

There is starvation

And death

And parched lips

And distrust

We sit inside our houses

With designer clothes and TV

But we never stop and think

How they'd love to be me

They would feel like Kings and Queens

Seeing carpet and a bed

We would feel like dirt

Sleeping on floors, mud upon our heads

They go through tortutre

We go through life

I think it's unfair

They deserve something better

Does nobody care?

I do.
