Slowly, Silently now the moon

Walks the night in her slivery shoon

This way and that, she peers and sees

Silver fruit on silver trees

One by one the moonlight does catch

Her beams beneath the silvery thatch

A harvest mouse goes scampering by

With silver claws and silver eyes

Moveless fish in the water gleam

By silver reeds in a silver stream

So slowly silently now the moon

Walks away in her silvery shoon
