The target was established, the aim was set, bullet was fired
And the renowned mathematician in his lone Abbey hill’s apartment was found dead.
People gathered to offer condolences as the news spread, rumours were born
And some crocodile tears were shed.
Who did it? Why it was done? Was a question in everyone’s mind?
The apartment was searched and carefully scanned by investigating officer
For the evidence which were hard to find.
There only clue was drawn on the living room wall;
7 circles in unequal proportions some big some small
7 circles what do they say? 7 circles what do they convey?
Do these circles have any meaning at all?
Or they were just drawn to cover an empty wall
Interrogation begins and suspects were called,
First one to be questioned was servant named J.G Halls
He described his duty and explained his domestic role
And was clueless about the circles that were drawn on the wall
He said his master was sad as the impatient behaviour of his wife was making him mad
In his madness he might have fought with someone unknown
As on the day of murder he wasn’t there as he was spending some time alone.
Next on the radar was professor’s wife
Who talked in an uneasy manner with tears in her eyes
She admitted the differences in relationship due to non-ending fights
But she never expected an abstract end to his husband’s lonely life
To her, he ended his life on his own as the mystery of circles to her was also unknown.
There wasn’t any motive or conclusive evidence for officer to make up his mind
So he closed the case the declared it a suicide
But those 7 seven circles had the meaning which the officer didn’t knew
Victim was married to his wife according to the tradition of Jew.
