this story is an unfortunately sad story of three friends working through fights, jealousy, crushes, and loss. But I still hope that you like reading it.

tears for my childhood friends

Have you ever had a friend who you never were apart from? A friend that had all the same likes and dislikes and just pretty much understood you for who you were? A friend that went with you so well like the moon and the stars? Well, ifyou have a moment to spare, take a seat, and let me tell you the tale of a girl who had two of these special friend. They were never apart, these three kids.

A girl, and two boys. Like three peas in a pod, they were close. but in the beginning, there were only two. A girl and a boy, laughing and playing around in the school yard happily. They made snowmen in the winter, splashed in puddles in the spring, raced eachother in the summer, and crunched leaves in the fall. One day, the girl made a new friend. The boy was new to school, so she showed him around, and introduced him to her other friend. The two boys clicked instantly, like gears in a machine.

They had so many things in commen, including their hearts being set on the girl. The two always had a few disagreements, but it never broke their friendship. A couple times the second boy acted apon his affection for the girl. This made her a little uncomfterable, and usually just moved away from him after. But what he didn't know was that she had her eyes and heart towards the other boy.

One day, the two boys were having one of their biggest fights yet. The girl didn't like being around them while they were fighting and usually walked away from all the negative energy, but then the first boy said something that made her stop dead in her tracks. He had said that sometimes he was glad that he was moving away. She had no idea that he was going to move. She turned around and asked him if his words were true, not something he had thought up to get at the other boy. Unfortunately, they where.

Her heart had broken in so many ways, and she ran away from them trying not to cry. When she finnaly stopped, she was at the picnic area, and she bawled so hard. She thought that they were gong to be friends forever, but apperently she was wrong. The two boys ran after her, but every time they got close, she would run away. Soon the first boy turned and yelled at the other, saying it was his fault for her crying, and the two started bickering once again.

The girl couldn't take it any more. She went up to them and yelled at them telling them that arguing wasn't going to make it any better. After she told them to stop, it was time to go inside, for recess had ended. On the last day of school, before she said her final goodbye to her friend, she made him promise to write. And she said good bye.

All through the summer, she couldn't stop crying, because her heart felt as if it were still saying goodbye. Finnaly school had begun. The friends were now venturing into middle school. Although the girl made new friends, she drifted apart from the second boy. But he wasn't having it, for he still had much affection for her. She began to make less and less time withhim, and his jealousy for her new friends grew and grew. Then one day he snapped.

When he knew that the girl wasn't with her friends, he went up to her and called her friends nasty, terrible and unacceltable names behind their backs for her to hear. He hoped that if he told her this, she would see them that way, and abandon the for him. But the oppisite happend. She was shocked and upset that he had done this, and scolded him. She told him that if he was going to be mean and a selfish bully, that she didn't want to be around him.

She told him that she was also extremely hurt that one of her longest friends would be so mean to her and her friends just because of the fact that he was jealous for her having other friends besides him. She was angry and distrought that he had done this and told him to leave immediatly. He left quickly, scared and sad, yet also still angry.

In hindsight he realized that her words were true. He had been selfish and mean, and he wanted to apoligize and fix their friendship. But every time he went to her, she quickly walked away, for she was afraid that he would hurt her even more. Her already broken heart had just started mending itself from last year, and he had broken it even more.

After word she cried so much, becuase both of her childhood friendships had ended. Her tears for her childhood friends were so many, that she could have filled an ocean. And I am sad to say, that this tale is true. Every word of this story is true, and I am the young girl who had to say goodbye.
