This novelette takes place in a shared universe with some friends from college. At this point in the world Achillion, the thief master is at the peak of his power and a great war has begun in the central kingdoms. As of yet the north is untouched by the war.
This is a story about a boy trying to escape it and live his own life, but the gods refuse to let him.
