How I saw the wild horses

Red, black, gold……slipping from shade to shade like overlapping satiny ink waves,

They group like a puddle, vibrating in anticipation,

Thunder builds up like vicious birds in a make-shift cage, passion for freedom in their eyes,

Then they fly apart like a rainbow water splash, crystalline droplets leaving fleeting shadows on the gorund

Such soul-searing, heart-shattering beauty!

Hoofprints are left on my spirit like tattoos of a unicorn memory,

Never again will I see such awesome untameable power as the wild horses, flying across the ground like dancing misty birds of grace,

Never again, to see,

Crystalline droplets leaving fleeting shadows on the ground.
