The tower of spine, the forests of strife
Tear away the darkness within
Purge the doubts, absolve the sin
Take the first steps towards the end
Fear naught the cliffside, but make it your friend

I see more than a depressing meaning. I can see it as dragging yourself away from something thats painful or hard to deal with. Instead of seeing it as actully jumping off a cliff, it could just mean throwing your troubles off the cliffside instead and moving on. I think anyways... :P
