Salty streaming drops

Of unadulterated deceit,

Murmured apologies

To seem so sweet;

Deep sighs and long stares

Another slow drop,

Soon they will believe you

And the tears magically stop.

Once the pity is gained

As your cheeks shine wet,

All will be forgiven

Bad deeds they’ll forget

The crier is innocent

It always ends that way,

No tears on your face?

You have no say

Not everyone believes though

Not everyone’s a fool,

Those tears are not innocent

Crocodile tears are cruel.
