escaping your reality seems like a good idea,
When your reality is nothing but fear.
Your dreams can be so exciting,
Yet you wake to see something not so inviting.
Do you stay and hope for the best?
Or run and hide from a life that's a mess?
Can you gather the strength to up and leave?
Or do you carry on with make-believe?
As the days all blur in to one,
You're no longer allowed to have any fun,
To speak to your friends; Even your mum.
You want to change, yet feel so numb.
You know this isn't how it should be,
Now you know you have to break free.
The more you try, the harder it seems,
But, remember you have your own dreams.
From something that started off so well,
Turned into nothing but misery and hell.
Somehow you still love and care,
and you know that it will always be there.
But, you are well aware,
There is so much more to life out there,
So much to do and so much to see,
And still so young, to be whoever you want to  be.
